The readership of the newspaper Schleswig-Holstein Zeitung voted Glücksburg Castle 4th on their list of most popular places. Places one to three went to landscapes like the river Schlei region, the mud-flats and the Holsteinische Schweiz closely followed by Glücksburg Castle.

 

We are delighted at this success and will continue to maintain the castle and its surroundings as much as possible and also endeavour to widen our facilities within our financial means.

 

Thanks to the European funding and those of our supporters (renovation of the façade) the work on the façade is almost complete, so the castle looks splendid now.

 

It is also worth taking a stroll through the park where new trees will be planted in the autumn (park).
