There can be no better omen for a bride and groom than the motto of the castle’s builder „Gott gebe Glück und Frieden“ (God grant Happiness and Peace), which stands above the portal.

So whoever wishes to do so, can get married in the romantic ambience of Schloß Glücksburg; in the registry office, located in one of the towers with a view onto the lake or in the chapel, with its carved altar dating back to the Thirty-Years-War. What’s more, christenings are also possible in the chapel.

The Castle Office is happy to assist with any organisational questions arising in the run up to the event.

Following the wedding ceremony, this happiest of occasions can be celebrated at Schloß Glücksburg as well – either with a reception in the Green Vestibule, a bigger celebration in the Red Hall or indeed in the Orangerie in the park.

The restaurants and hotels at Glücksburg will gladly make the arrangements for the celebration. Information can be obtained at the Castle Office.
